Blalock spent six years as editor-in-chief of The Sphinx magazine before taking emeritus status in 2015. Previously, at CBS Radio he covered the 2008 political conventions and the inauguration of President Barack Obama. A former anchor and reporter for FOX in Atlanta, he earned a degree in journalism at Central State University in Ohio. An avid fan of the Detroit Tigers, he hails from Highland Park, Mich., and began his journalism career at age seven, as a paperboy, delivering the Detroit Free Press.

Rick Blalock is a two-time Emmy-winning journalist. He is also the winner of the AP Broadcast Award. While a writer/producer at CNN, he wrote and produced segments for CNN's political team and CNN's coverage of the 2016 Presidential Election. During the Clinton presidency, Blalock conducted one of the most in-depth and revealing TV interviews with President Donald Trump. Blalock was also part of CNN's Emmy-winning coverage of the Egyptian Revolution and its worldwide coverage of the 2011 British Royal Wedding. In 2014, his award-winning producing helped earn CNN a national Emmy nomination for the “Newsroom with Suzanne Malveaux” program. He is also coauthor of Remembering Diana: The People’s Tribute To Their Princess.
Eric Ham is a political analyst for the BBC, Sirius XM and The Hill, and has contributed to CNN. His insightful and provocative analyses on the 2016 election and the GOP Civil War have shaped the political discourse in Washington and across the country. Ham has also been a senior contributor at Arise News.
While a staff member on Capitol Hill, Ham was a key adviser to Sen. Bill Nelson and the Senate Armed Services Committee. At the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) he was director of congressional relations. A leading scholar on geopolitical affairs, he was staff director for the Joint Experts’ Statement on Iran at the 3D Security Initiative.
Ham earned his undergraduate degree in political science at the University of Michigan, and holds a Master of Public Policy Degree from the University of Chicago. He and his wife reside in Washington, D.C.
